The Abundant Life Soup Kitchen, Inc. is a non-denominational, 501 (c) 3 non-profit charity fully incorporated under the laws of the State of Georgia. We are currently located in the Family Activities Center at Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church, 132 West Cherry Street in Griffin. We provide a nutritious, hot lunch, to the needy in our community five days per week in a clean, safe and healthy environment. Due to the Covid19 pandemic, we no longer are able to serve guests inside our dining room. We prepare the meals, place the food in Styrofoam take-out containers and distribute them to our guests for take out. We are currently serving an average of 60-70 individual meals per day and have served over 100 on several occasions. For many of our guests, this is the only meal they will eat all day. The funding we receive from the United Way allows us to continue to provide daily meals to the needy in our community. Without the funds from the United Way, we would not be able to meet these needs.
